Asking this question is like asking what simple method is there to go to Monte Carlo and make money playing poker. Playing poker and picking stocks is difficult. However if you buy and hold an Index fund of the FTSE 100, you should do well over the long run (over 20 years). This is lower risk than buying individual stocks, because of the diversification.
