As I understand, METASTOCK is the best technical analysis software. It provides a lot of analysing avenues to suit your needs. It can narrow down your searches as per your choice.
I think Tradestation is the best software among all others. It provides many analysis tools that doesn’t exist in any other easy to use software, there you will find backtesting facilities that you can use to test your idea so that you trade only those ideas which you have already tested and it gives you confidence in your idea.
