If you do any reading about trading and about great traders of the past then you will soon come across references the turtle traders.
This was an experiment in which an experianced trader called Richard Denis wanted to prove that you could take a bunch of ordinary people with no trading experiance, and if they could follow a proven trading system to the letter, they could become successful traders.
I think the results of his experiment are mixed but ever since there has been a lot of hype about the Turtle Trading system and it’s performance.
Personally I think it is all blown out of proportion, I have looked at the Turtle trading system and it’s rules etc and don’t think much of it. It’s not a system I could follow or trade, yet it continues to get a lot of coverage on the internet.
