In this video I demonstrate my 5 Minute Trading Scalping Strategy for Forex. This is a trend trading strategy that should only be used when the market is trending. Only enter trades using this strategy when the moving averages are angling. If the moving averages are flat or you get a reversal candle, exit the trade. The market only trends about 20% of the time.
– 50 period SMA – Simple Moving Average, 10 and 15 period EMAs – Exponential Moving Averages
– All calculations on the Close
(1) All MAs angle upward.
(2) Wait until price closes below the 10/15 EMAs and the closes above the EMAs.
(3) Enter long and place your stop loss underneath the candles that closed below the 10/15 EMAs.
(1) All MAs angle downward.
(2) Wait until price closes above the 10/15 EMAs and then closes below the EMAs.
(3) Enter short and place your stop loss above the candles that close above the 10/15 EMAs.
How to trade using technical analysis is an extremely common question. In this short video you will learn about some of the more popular indicators used by traders, including MACD (Moving Average Convergence/Divergence), RSI (Relative Strength Index), SMAs (Simple Moving Averages) and Slow Stochastics. They might sound difficult but once you understand how they work they can be a valuable tool to back up your trading strategies.
I just have a curious question on spread betting the foreign exchange markets or forex and if the best way to trade it is by following the medium-term to long-term trend, i.e. a few weeks to a few months? Is this the best way to trade it as this is what I did with my practice account and gained 426% in 2 weeks? Is this the best way to go about it as I know currencies usually trend long-term? Please help/advise. Thanks.

I’m just starting forex trading and was wondering what tracking program would be best for me to begin to do Technical Analysis with. It would be nice if I could use a free program or at least a low cost one but if I need to I’ll spring for a program to help me track currencies and develop a trading strategy. User friendliness is key because I’m a totally novice trader. Any reading materials for learning better TA or websites are also greatly appreciated.
